Symbolizing good fortune, a tea pet is a ceramic figurine from China, usually made from yixing clay. A traditional practice in China is to nourish your tea pet by rinsing it with tea liquor, which helps it to develop a beautiful aroma and patina over time. Part of a Chinese tea ceremony, it is usually placed on a tea tray when one is making tea.

Skillfully detailed down to its tiny wrinkles and soulful eyes, this petite pachyderm is expertly handcrafted from a light duan ni yixing clay also known as 'qing duan ni'. The result is a color that closely resembles that of a real elephant. Measures 1.8” x 1.7” (4.6x4.3cm)

The tremendous range of leaf styles in loose leaf teas makes measuring by volume imprecise. Our digital pocket scale solves this problem by weighing your tea leaves in grams. We recommend 2.25 grams of tea leaves per every 6 ounces of water. Precisely calibrated at the factory, this handy scale also offers five additional weighing modes – oz (ounces), ct (carats), gn (grains), dwt (pennyweight), and ozt (troy ounce). For those who wish to periodically calibrate their scale according to the instructions found inside the scale’s lid, we offer a 200g calibration weight (AR45). Note: This tea scale measures 5" long by 3" wide with a 3" x 2.5" platform. It requires 2 AAA batteries, which are included with the scale. One year limited warranty.

Constructed of stainless steel, this handy, double-sided tea scoop makes spooning your loose leaf tea quick and easy, whether steeping in a teapot or a cup.
