China Oolong Se Chung

A top grade of this lesser known style of China Oolong. This Chinese loose leaf Oolong tea is slightly green, with a woody aroma and flavor. A style served in Hong Kong Chinese restaurants. Oolong tea is also referred to as Wu-Long tea, or Black Dragon tea.

For the price can't beat it.

It's not the finest Oolong, which I think is my favorite style of tea, but at this price point it's a pretty good one. The well styled leaves brew up a raisin/wood flavor that stands up to multiple brews. It's more like a roasted Oolong than a green one, probably oxidized around 30%. I keep buying it.

Smooth and flavorful

One of my favorite oolongs. Flavor is subtle, slightly sweet yet holds up to multiple steeping. I enjoy it all day long, particularly following a meal.

A nice oolong

This really is a nice little oolong tea. It does have a woody note, but for me, the note that I noticed first was toasty, a little reminiscent of a toasted nut. It's full-bodied but easy to drink, definitely a good candidate for an all day drink, and it's priced appropriately for it.

First Oolong I've tried but I really love this tea.

Just as described...

I purchased sample sizes of a selection of teas based to be brewed Gong Fu style base on Daniel Reid’s, the Art and Alchemy of Chinese tea. This tea was too vegetal and woody for my taste. I’m glad I tried it as I now know my preferences better. I would say the taste matches the description.

Unless you're looking for a green oolong, try this today!

Though I know many prefer the more vegetal tones of something like a monkey-picked oolong, I prefer my red teas to be darker. This is the richest, smoothest oolong I've ever tasted, and it's one I always keep on hand at the house. Try it, you won't regret it!
