Constructed of stainless steel, this handy, double-sided tea scoop makes spooning your loose leaf tea quick and easy, whether steeping in a teapot or a cup. This substantial scoop measures 7 ¾” long, with the teapot scoop on one end and the cup scoop on the other end. The Teapot Scoop measures 1 ¾” in diameter with a 1 1/8” depth. Based on an average size tea leaf (such as TA40 ), this scoop will hold the equivalent of approximately 6 flat measuring teaspoons (30mL, or 2 flat measuring tablespoons). The Cup Scoop measures 1 ¼” in diameter with a 5/8” depth. This scoop will hold the equivalent of approximately 1.3 teaspoons (6.5 mL, or a rounded measuring teaspoon). When using a larger than average size leaf, adjust your number of scoops according to the teaspoon guidelines on the tea label.
