This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars The full-bodied Competition Grade Matcha Organic tea froths beautifully. The mouthfeel is smooth with a vegetal finish. It is incomparable in quality, freshness, and taste to any other matcha tea I have tried. Highly recommended with the tea ceremony supplies from Upton Tea Imports. I have tried cheaper brands and found the bamboo strands on the whisk did not compare in flexibility and did not whisk matcha desired. As the price is high, I sometimes opt for the Organic Aichi Matcha.
This shopper rated the product 3 out of 5 stars I just started drinking matcha and I got a well known matcha brand for xmas this year with a matcha tea set. I have been drinking Upton tea's for years now really wanted to try their top of the line matcha to compare with what i had. For the high price I was a bit disappointed. It is good, don't me wrong, but i was expecting to be "wowed" and i actually loved the other brand I got for xmas better (and it was cheaper. Both were competition grade and organic). This matcha from Upton was smooth, darker green in color and definitely had the "pea" taste that it indicates.

SCRUMPTIOUS. Rich, pea-like, taste. Delicious with milk and sugar. The next time, I bought matcha powder from a local coffee house. Big mistake. NO COMPARISON. Competition Grade beats all.
