Formosa Lapsang Souchong

Rich and lusty, this smoky tea has a mellow aftertaste. A bit smokier than the China variety.

Smokin'!
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

For those of us who appreciate the value of a smoky lapsang souchong, this is a delightful tea. I enjoy adding one teaspoon to my more usual black tea in the morning. It adds just enough smokiness to wake me up and brighten my morning.

Smooth and Lighter
This shopper rated the product 4 out of 5 stars

This is a nice tea--smooth with a light smoke scent. I get the scent and taste of a nice tea underneath the smoke. Goes down easy. I had it with a Japanese curry and it held up fine and didn't overpower the palate. I prefer the Imperial which is markedly more smoky but this tea is a great one for those who like a milder smoke flavor where you can actually taste the tea. Or, if you are like me, you enjoy tasting different lapsang souchong teas-give this one a try.

Not very smoky but rich in taste
This shopper rated the product 3 out of 5 stars

This tea lacks the promised smokey notes, but it will brew a nice rich cup of bold tea. To me the taste is more like a full bodied Earl Grey.

Lacking in smoke, but still rich in taste
This shopper rated the product 3 out of 5 stars

I bought the Imperial and this Famosa to compare. I find the Famosa totally lacking in the rich smoky aroma I come to love in the Imperial. I don't know if my taste-buds and smell changed, but to me it tastes like nice rich Earl Gray. While lacking in the beloved smoky aroma it is still a rich full bodied tea that you can enjoy in a cozy room or at a fire on the patio on a cold day.

Not good Lapsang
This shopper rated the product 1 out of 5 stars

One teaspoon of my former batch of lapsang has more odor and flavor than this whole order. It makes a decent cup of black tea and will be so used. Disappointing.
