I was introduced to this tea 9 years ago in the middle of a thick Maine winter. It has stuck with me ever since. The rich smokey smell alone brings me back. The Black Dragon has a very strong taste - if you like it, you will love it forever; if you don't, you will hate it. I've never tasted any other tea like it. Strongly caffeinated as well. Give it a try, but maybe do a sample size first.

So far this is the only Upton tea I really liked, a couple of others were pretty good but yhe others lacked character. This one was just the right smokiness and had some depth of character other Smoky teas I've had lacked. I also blended it with some other teas and those cups were good also. So far the only review I've given above 3 stars, nd the only one so faar Id recomend, it's a definite 5

This is a very nicely balanced, satisfying tea with the perfect amount of smoke for me. It is my favorite lapsang souchong tea.
