This whole-leaf Shou Pu-Erh selection is aromatic and robust, with a hearty kick. Pronounced earthy/toasty notes are present in the dark, rich cup, along with hints of molasses. Its smooth character lingers long into the finish.
Steeping Suggestions
Leaf Quantity: 2.25 g/6oz cup Steep Time: 6-8 min. Water Temperature: 212 degrees (boiling)
This and the other Pu-Erh I tried aren't "bad" as in "yuck", but out of all the other outstanding amazing teas, this one falls on the bottom of my list. Wouldn't order and wouldn't recommend unless you somehow like this type of tea.
Surpising. Not bad!

For me it had a lively mulchy Christmas tree sort of aroma and flavor instead of the fishy crypt-like Pu'ers I've tried in the past, Rishi's pods, etc. Warming rather than cooling.
Pu'er (however it's spelled) is definitely NOT my favorite tea type but I still found this tea more enjoyable/interesting than many of my moost preferred tea types.
Great Pu-erh

This is the way I like my Pu-erh, dark, rich and malty. Highly recommended if you like a strong dark brew.

I have tried many varieties of Pu-erh over the years and this is smoothest one I have tried. Earthy, lighter body than average, and easy to drink. Good for two steepings, at 8 minutes. I like to do a quick rinse with boiling water before the first steep.
