Java BOP Blend

4.5 star average rating

A rich breakfast blend especially suited for those who enjoy a powerful cup in the morning. This also is a great choice for iced tea. Java teas are never expensive, so you get the best produced for a few cents a cup.

  • Simple blend with notes of dark berries and wheat. A basic Indonesian tea.

  • I have been making iced tea with java for more than 15 years. It is the best for a classic iced tea. I follow the cold water method, overnight in the refrigerator and then strain it in the morning. It is wonderful. No lemon, no sweetener, it is wonderful with just ice. I drink it all year long.

  • I bought this for an ice tea blend. It is a good plain tea, I prefer simple non-flavored tea, I drink it straight - no lemon no milk. It is good as a hot tea as well. The only down side to this as an ice tea is that more often than not it clouds up.

  • If you're in the market for a standard black tea, this is a fine choice.

  • I found the intensity of the tea to be fairly weak, though the tannins appear to be quite low which makes it easy to drink. From the reviews that I read prior to ordering, I expected at least a little more intensity. I'll try it as an iced tea to see if it is more appealing.
  • The best iced tea!

  • Java Blend makes the most wonderful iced tea. It is especially good when I brew it cold. Put about 1/2c-2/3 c of tea in a mason jar filled with cold water in the fridge over-night and in the morning pour through a filter of course and you will I have a great tasting iced tea concentrate.
  • A Truly Tasty Tea

  • I tried this tea as a sample and did a taste test with a Ceylon tea and two others. This one won because it's a robust yet balanced flavor, beautiful rich color, and has hints of warm spice before it finishes with a complex slight toasty taste. The flavor lingers on after the sip. It's very satisfying!
  • Better than Teavana at Starbucks!

  • I’ve been looking for some loose tea to use now that my Teavana store closed. I tried this and it is better than Teavana and the tea I get at Starbucks. I make a gallon at a time and I use 5 family sized bags of Lipton tea with one large tea ball (2.75 inch diameter) of loose tea. Steep for 5 min. I always use filtered water… Very important!!!

  • And I don't anything bad by utilitarian. It is an all around dependable black tea good for drinking black or with milk or iced.

  • I love this tea! I've been buying it for several years. It's hearty, GREAT iced, and more delicious with a slice of lemon. It makes my summer. It's a decent BOP and good hot with milk.
