With an oxidation level of approximately 40%, Amber Oolong (Wu-Long) teas produce a liquor that is darker than the Jade Oolongs. The flavor is slightly more earthy and robust.

I purchased 10 oolong samples to try and this is within the top two of my husband and my favorites. Well rounded with great flavor. Would recommend.

The hint of fish in the aroma and taste vanishes after the fist whiff and sip, then it becomes much more subtle with hints of hay or grass. Dark golden liquor is lovely to look at; while the flavor is nice but not spectacular. I am happy to drink it.

Formosa Amber is typical of the oolongs served at Chinese restaurants where I live. It has an exotic flavor and caffeine buzz. Calming and focused. The flavor is like chestnuts and honey. Of the hundreds of teas I have tried I find this one to be very sophisticated. A remarkable price for a Taiwanese oolong. A great tea for "me" time.
