Roasted Oolong

This tea begins as a classic, medium-oxidized Tie-Guan-Yin Oolong, processed in the traditional style. It is finished and cured with a slow firing in bamboo baskets over a charcoal fire. The result is a tea with smooth, rich and inviting character.

Reminiscent of fall...

This roasted oolong has an overpowring intial pour and steep. It cab be harsh and hay tasting on first steep. This tea is best on the second steep. It is much more bright, less harsh and has carmel over tones, but the hay taste is still on high. This is a great tea for those who want the "taste if the earth". Or, steep with dried fruit.

Perfect for multiple infusions.

Bold, but not astringent this roasted oolong has been on my keep-in- stock list for a couple of years now. For a great iced tea, I finish it off with the juice of half a grapefruit, third lemon, and one whole orange for a refreshing beverage your guests won't get enough of!

This is the first cup of oolong I’ve ever had and found that experience to be life changing in how I viewed tea, as suddenly a whole new area of it opened up before me. I reccomend this as a starter oolong for people who love black teas and want a nutty tasting one with a strong roast.
