My go-to breakfast blend
Chris – WA – November 04, 2019

Since I first tried it, this was close to my platonic ideal of what I wanted in a breakfast blend. Sweet with something spicy, probably owing to the Chinese in the blend.

My daily tea
Bodhi – NH – July 11, 2019

Usually I drink three cups of this a day, with milk. As I've gotten older my preferences have shifted to more full-bodied, robust teas, and my steeping time has gradually increased. I didn't think I ever went as low as the three minutes that's recommended here. I probably started with 5 or 6. I'm up to 13 at the moment, and get a taste I love!

Classic tastes you can't pass up!
Theodore – IN – April 19, 2019

The initial pour over the tea is a highlight. The aroma is classic "tea". In my opinion, this is a great iced tea blend. For hot tea, if steep is short, the taste is balanced. There is a bitter after taste on the back end, but as a sweet tea it would be an amazing refreshment as the there are subtle hints of caramel, chocolate, a bit of citrus.

Strong black tea
Marty – MO – January 09, 2019

I have been trying a bunch of black teas to try and find one I like because I've generally not been a fan of the flavor that I'd describe as "sock-y". This tea has a very strong flavor and I did not enjoy its taste. If you are a fan of black tea then you will likely enjoy it.

A gentle eye-opener for mornings
John – NJ – November 15, 2018

This tea satisfies me better than any other for breakfast/morning use. I have sought in many places, but nowhere else have I found such a brisk and crisp blend. Good with milk and / or sugar, or just as is. Upton's have done themselves proud! Especially good for winter breakfasts.

My morning go-to for years!
Dave – MO – September 12, 2018

I've bought it by the kilo for years. Always balanced, bracing, rich and delicious.

The perfect breakfast blend ...

... has been my favorite morning brew for many years! Rich & hearty with milk & sugar.

Mmmmmm
Mary – CT – August 19, 2018

I LOVE this tea, I've always been an Irish Breakfast fan, my allegiance has now switched. It's perfect when steeped for 3 min, sweet to the tongue with the delightful maltiness for which assam teas are famous. I bought a big tin of this and little samples of other breakfast teas for comparison; my bet paid off, this was by far my favorite!

Would give this tea ten stars if I could!
Virginia Waterman – NC – February 05, 2018

Been drinking this tea for years~have gotten family members and friends to try it and once tried, to love it as well! As other reviewers have noted, has a wonderfully strong but smooth taste, and a smoky note that reminds me of the Outer Hebrides on a chilly morning. Please never stop offering this wonderful tea.

Exceptional

Taylor's Scottish breakfast fan but this is tops it in complexity of flavor and strength. Very satisfying.

Morning favorite
Brian – ID – January 07, 2018

I hope everyone finds a tea that pleases them as much as this one pleases me in the morning.

The best part of waking up
Tim – WI – December 09, 2017

Dark, malty with a touch of spicy smokiness. This is a great blend to replace your coffee dependency. Great with milk (or even cream) and sugar to cut the bite. Don't over brew it or it gets bitter.

A hearty cup
J.J. – IL – November 29, 2017

Hands down, the best Scottish Breakfast blend I've tried. Strong & malty, it has a heft and depth that is particularly appealing, with the slightest hint of smokiness, (probably from the Yunnan), which makes it unique. Five minute steep, plus milk & a little sugar--perfect.

Lovely smooth morning tea
Linda – ME – November 28, 2017

I’ve been drinking Keemun for decades, and tried this tea on a whim a few years ago. It’s become my morning tea — its smooth, blended flavor is assertive but doesn’t hit you over the head. Very comforting, warm wake up call. I steep for 3 minutes tops to keep the tanins at bay.

A real morning eye opener
Ann – VA – October 24, 2017

This is the only beverage I have found that makes sure I get to work on time and ready for the day ahead. I am not a morning person and I do not drink coffee. I steep it for 4 minutes and pair it with whole or 2% milk. I love it!
