My go-to morning brew
Lynn – ME – January 07, 2019

I've been buying this particular tea for years now, trying others from time to time (did anyone see the review of Yorkshire Gold? Bought some, was disappointed in comparison to this favorite). The aroma of the tea varies from harvest to harvest, and sometimes is less fragrant than I like, but that is the nature of a product of Mother Nature!

A little weak

I like my fully bodied teas and I was a little disappointed in this year's blend. I'm not an expert - maybe its supposed to be that way. Still good with milk and honey!

Good breakfast tea
Kevin – WI – November 30, 2018

Robust. I tame it with my usual Truvia and soymilk. It is my morning wake-up tea.

Satyavati – OR – September 01, 2018

The worst tea I have ever had - strong color that brews fast but no perfume! no flavor but musty bitterness! Thought I'd give it a try - Never Again!

Best Breakfast Tea
elf – NY – August 03, 2018

I love a hearty cupful to start my day, and this tea exceeded my expectations. A complex, strong (not bitter) brew that took a bit of sugar and milk very well, with a full flavor profile that has just a smidge of astringency at the finish. I'm looking forward to enjoying this every single morning!

My Favorite Tea
Cecelia – TX – August 02, 2018

I have been drinking this tea for almost 18 years now. It is hands down my favorite tea. It has a strong rich flavor that I enjoy without having to wait for extended brew times.

Still the best
Paul – OR – June 13, 2018

I have been using this for my morning tea for decades. From time to time, I try something else, either from Upton or another purveyor of teas, but always come back to this one. It is full-bodied, but not bitter. Stands up beautifully with milk, and it brightens up my day, even when it is cold and dreary outside!

Irish Breakfast

Love this tea...subtle and robust. For John (and others) looking for another great one: JAVA OP Malabar.

Really nice strong blend. Has replaced Barry's Gold in our house.

Always added first to shopping cart

Great strong tea for breakfast. Smooth, but robust tea. I take with just some milk a bit of raw sugar. Highly recommend - clear reason its a bestseller

The Best
John – NM – December 06, 2017

Of the teas I've bought from Upton so far, this is really good and consistent each time I order. It's very drinkable straight, but honey or milk works too. If there are other similar quality teas I'd want to know... Good black tea, strong enough without being overwhelming. Highly recommend.

About as good as it gets
Dave – MA – December 04, 2017

I keep trying other breakfast blends but I always come back to this. Bold flavor, stunning red liqueur, and because it's a CTC you can count on every cup you brew tasting exactly the same. It brews in just seconds but I like to let it steep for a couple minutes. Perfect with a little sugar and thin slice of lemon, or should take milk well.

My go to tea!
Cissy Brady-Rogers – CA – November 21, 2017

I grew up drinking malty Irish breakfast with my parents - always with sugar and cream! After returning to tea after years of being a coffee drinker, I found myself loving a good strong cup of Irish tea in the morning. I've tried other producers blends and do enjoy single origin Assams but this is by far my favorite. Ordered many times over.

I am a bit picky about my Irish Breakfast.
Mary – OR – November 10, 2017

I have been getting this tea since 2013 or earlier. Irish breakfast should hold up to 1/2 and 1/2 and sugar. This one, the cream circles in the amber liquid making for an amazing cup. I am very picky when it comes to tea and coffee. I ran out once got a regular brand from the store, and the difference is staggering. I will not do that again!
