- I ordered this as a sample. I've never tried ctc or fannings but this makes a robust and satisfying cup with a lot of flavor, there's a lingering maltiness. It does brew up quickly and can become astringent if steeped longer than suggested on the label.
- Pretty good cheap tea!

- For a “cheap” tea, it’s surprisingly good. No astringency when brewed at 2 min. Strong and malty with some sweetness. Nothing complex, but nothing off putting. Put some milk in that bad boy! Delicious. Though I think I still prefer a CTC leaf as it brews cleaner than fannings.
- Fannings grade teas infuse quickly!

- This is a lovely and very cheap tea if you're careful, but it is not forgiving. For my taste, I get a nice, strong, English breakfast style tea at a very low price by infusing this for 30-45 seconds. Unless you like bitterness and astringency, do not push it!

- I'm not a huge fan of black tea and have been trying to find some I like. Of the many I tried this one was very light and smooth and the strong black tea taste I tend to dislike was very reserved. I would drink it again.
- A great breakfast brew ...

- ... this tea is virtually identical to a Welsh blend called Glenghettie but much more affordable!
- Surprisingly very good

- I was very pleasantly surprised by this breakfast blend, particularly since it's a fannings grade tea which would lead one to believe it's flavorless. Actually, although It brews up very quickly - I find two minutes is best for my taste - it's hearty, smooth and quite economical.
