Robert Fortune Blend 41 (Darjeeling-Yunnan)

Named after Robert Fortune who toured the tea producing regions in the 1840s under the auspices of the East India Company. Darjeeling adds a pleasing brightness; Yunnan lends a dark, honey colored liquor and delicately spicy overtones.

Pleasing and Versatile

I purchased this on a whim, and have found it to be a fairly good morning tea (I require a solid jolt, it's me, not the tea) and a very nice daytime and afternoon tea. It is pleasantly astringent, has a good mouthfeel, and an almost-honey aftertaste without being sweet. I do hope Upton continues to offer it, I noticed it sold quite quickly.

New Favorite!

A blend of my two favorite teas, Darjeeling and Yunnan. There are times the Darjeeling is too delicate and the Yunnan too strong, so blending the two makes a perfect match -- Darjeeling's freshness mixed with the deeper notes of Yunnan. I see this as the tea I can take on my travels and drink day or afternoon. Purchasing a bigger bag next time!
