Harvested on February 26, 2021, this superlative first flush offering is the very first plucking of the 2021 season at the Rohini Estate, located in the Kurseong valley of Darjeeling district. The exquisite leaves display full leaf sets, crowned with downy silver tips. Accented by notes of honey and corn silk, the sweet aroma evokes the freshness of early spring. The delicate amber-gold cup is buttery smooth with classic floral notes, complemented by light vegetal hints. A lively crisp quality lingers in the finish, completing an unparalleled tea experience.

With the introduction of this special tea, Upton Tea Imports is proud to continue our tradition of being the first US tea company to offer the very first harvest from the first flush Darjeeling season of 2021.

  • What a special treat! I was drawn to purchase because it was harvested on my birthday. It is the first time I experienced a first flush Darjeeling, and I was delighted by the smooth mouthfeel, delicate botanical flavors and the lingering finish. I was able to get two steeps, both enjoyable and unique. I drank it plain. Thanks again, Upton!

  • I was interested to taste and see why a First Flush Darjeeling is different/worth extra expense. I adore the very affordable Upton's Finest Russian Caravan, so I added Rohini Estate to order. Rohini makes a light amber tea--tastes a little like a green tea to me, unlike other teas I have tasted and am enjoying it, but probably won't purchase again.

  • Aroma and tasting notes in the above description are spot on but what really stands out to me is how smooth it is ('buttery smooth' is again a perfect descriptor). A remarkable characteristic in my tea experience. Fortunate to have had a chance to try this tea, which in my opinion is worthy of the price. Thanks for offering this tea, Upton.
