- Based on reviews I thought I would try this new blend, as I enjoy a bold morning tea that can hold its milk. I was sorely disappointed. The smokey aroma overwhelms the cup, leaving little else to enjoy. Along with the steep price, I'm not impressed. I'll stick with the Leadenhall Street Breakfast Blend - a bold, flavorful, balanced tea.

- Fell in love with this tea after a first cup. Very gentle sweet and sour fruity flavor. No bitterness even you brewing longer than recommended.
- Great way to start the day

- This is unquestionably the best breakfast blend I've ever had. It tastes like warm buttered toast with a hint of jam. I hope Upton continues to offer it - I can't imagine a morning without it.

- I tried this tea on a whim when I saw the description in your recent catalog. It is now my absolute favorite and I live in fear that you will stop making it. It is smooth and rich and somewhat addictive. Thank you!

- I’ve tried dozens of Upton teas and enjoyed many, but never was fond of any of the breakfast blends, which I generally have found to be one dimensional, somewhat dull. Old South Meeting House is very refreshing in comparison; it has several different notes, and a marked sweetness. It sparkles without milk and sugar. Perfect for drinking black.

- Upton’s description is spot on. Earthy aroma. Grassy, soil, barn. But then you notice baking chocolate. Has a surprising amount of sweetness that carries through the finish. Not astringent at all even steeped for 5 min. Overall, a very impressive brew, just not the profile I’m looking for in a morning cup.
- Dark, robust, but very smooth

- I was excited to try this new blend. I prefer to drink my tea without milk, and "breakfast blend" often equates to "undrinkably astringent" to me. I was thrilled to find that this tea, steeped for just under 4 min, is delicious without milk. It has a deep color and a strong, almost molasses-like flavor, but not a hint of bitterness. Recommended!
