Surprising, satisfying tea

I tried Nepalese tea at Dobra Teahouse in Portland, Maine. The owner suggested it when I told her I drink Keemun. I loved it so much I bought a sample of all Upton Nepalese teas! So far this is my favorite. I’m also picking up woodsy notes, and it does feel like there should be smokiness, but it doesn’t linger. Smooth, balanced, flavorful.

This is an excellent blend of larger leaf pieces. I don't catch cocoa or red wine, but I do sense a warm, woodsy flavor that lingers pleasantly, then leaves with virtually no other aftertaste. Aroma and flavor are full, but not overpowering. It feels like it should have a hint of smokiness, but it doesn't. Delightful for anytime.
