In hues ranging from light to dark brown, the small, neatly made leaves of this Nepal black tea offering are sprinkled with silver tips. The golden amber liquor is fragrant with a light, fresh aroma. The flavor is rich with floral notes and a sweet, lingering finish.

  • Tried a sample of this and probably will come back for more. For some reason, other reviews refer to a BOP offering. This does not look like BOP to me. It's a very tippy second flush tea that produces a medium-to-strong cup. No complexity, no special muscatel or floral notes--just a solid, drinkable tea at a great price.

  • This BOP is similar to moderately-priced second flush (summer) Darjeelings. It works well for an afternoon revival, but isn't sturdy enough for a breakfast tea (but doesn't claim to be one, either). I prefer more depth in a Darjeeling, but many people will find this a decent substitute.

  • Light but complex, subtly floral with a fruity finish, refreshingly sour at first but then there's a lingering sweetness.

  • I was introduced to this tea through an Upton bonus sample. I'm glad I had an opportunity to try it and subsequently have reordered. It's a second flush that is full flavored, though not astringent, and definitely on the sweet side. I enjoy it all day long and it never disappoints.

  • Received a sample of this. I’m generally not crazy about BOPs, but this tea is quite good. It tastes similar to Darjeeling although I find it to be smoother. It has the translucent, light color of Darjeelings. And it’s similarly priced.
