Season's Pick Nilgiri STGFOP Afternoon Blend

Located in southern India, the Nilgiri district of Tamil Nadu produces teas with a distinctive character. The dark brown leaves of this black tea selection yield a solid cup, smooth and mellow, with a honeyed fruit aroma. Toasty notes are complemented by a hint of fruit in the dark copper liquor. A wonderful afternoon tea.

  • Smooth and mellow, but that's all

  • Reveived as a bonus. I have enjoyed all the "Season's Pick" teas until this one. As the description says, it is smooth and mellow but I am not getting any of the other flavors. Its good tea, but somewhat boring compared to the fun Assams and China black teas which are my current favorites.

  • My first experience with this tea was as a sample and it knocked my socks off. It really “wowed” me. It’s so smooth and has absolutely no bitterness. I just ordered my first batch and really look forward to it arriving! Your Earl Grey extra bergamot is my morning tea and this just became my afternoon go-to tea. I only wonder what “STGFOP” means...
  • Try three minutes

  • Far better at three minutes than four, which I suspected all along. Oversteeping Nilgiris has the consistent, mysterious, and unfortunate consequence of nearly entirely wiping out the flavor. More subtleties at three minutes, but overall, still average to above-average.
  • Smooth and nice.

  • I am new to the tea world after recently giving up coffee. This is the first black tea I have enjoyed. I normally like a white or light green tea. This tea is very light tasting and smooth. Very easy to drink.
  • 2019 Is a better tea than the 2018 was.

  • This is a still a smooth, strong cup of tea, but this year the citrus note is very noticeable and delightful.
  • A good strong tea

  • The Upton review is spot on. I really like this tea, the only reason for not giving it 5 stars is that it's not as complex as some blends are.
