Cacao husks and nibs, from small chocolate producers in the Tumaco region of Colombia, are blended with bold, dark brown leaves to create this unique, naturally flavored selection from Colombia. Sweet notes from the black tea base provide the perfect accent for the rich cocoa flavor.

  • Bold tea that backs up just enough for you to really get a taste of that cocoa... and with just a little bit of milk and sugar? It's really like a little chocolate cake in a cup, but obviously not so overindulgent as that. I think this will be a staple for the colder months or quiet, rainy days.

  • Flavorings in teas are only as good as the teas those flavors are mixed with. I would love to buy just the coco pieces to mix in with better teas. This tea is so strong, it overpowers the coco, except there is a mild coco finish especially as the tea cools. This is a medium-full bodied tea with medium tannins/dryness even at a 2 minute steep.

  • This is the best tea ever. I normally only like straight black tea no flavorings maybe a squeeze of lemon but, this one is a must try for those not into strong flavorings.

  • I ordered this along with the Colombian breakfast blend organic. Love the long wirey twisted leaves. At a 6 mintue steep tannis are medium-full and flavor is rich and earthy with a hint of cacao. This is a fun afternoon tea with milk (softer, richer flavor). I will try more of the Colombian black teas, they are are treat!

  • This is surprisingly smooth. Very pleasant and appealing. There are a variety of finishing flavors but this is a cup you drink in the morning with no desire for adding anything else but more of the same.

  • This tea has an earthiness that reminds me of cocoa or coffee without the acid. It works when I have a craving for something sweet, and I drink it black so it's really pretty guilt free.

  • Have enjoyed the loose leaf version of Twinnings Chocolate Assam tea (available only in UK) and thought this would be similar. Alas, it is weaker in flavor and despite brewing for more than 5 min, found the taste was flat.

  • I like to drink strong chai with cream and honey, and this stuff is so good it doesn't need either the cream or the honey; but, if you want a real treat, put that in and you can't go wrong. A real pick-me-up on a winter afternoon. Beautiful tea.

  • I'm generally not a fan of favored tea, but this is a wonderful Tea. The slightly bitter taste of the cacao gives the tea a dark chocolate note that that lingers nicely. I bought an 80gm bag and will be ordering a 160gm bag.
