Chung-Hao Special Grade Jasmine

5 star average rating

Chung-Hao Jasmine belongs to the same series of China Jasmine tea as Yin-Hao, but is less expensive. Delicate silver tips adorn the well-made leaves, producing a light, refreshing cup redolent with the heady fragrance of jasmine blossoms. A rich sweetness blooms and lingers into the finish.

  • The only Jasmine I buy! A good introduction into green tea for those who normally don't enjoy green teas. Floral and fragrant.

  • I generally drink oolong tea, but had jasmine served at “Mothers Dumplings” in Toronto. (Great place, by the way.). I really liked the tea, so thought I’d try to find its equivalent at Upton. This is it. Their description is right on. It’s a great, refreshing tea on this cool autumn night.

  • This tea is extraordinarily fragrant and smooth. Even though he occasionally tries other jasmine, oolong, or green teas, my husband invariably returns to this Chung-Hal special grade jasmine tea.

  • My review of this tea on the old site, in 2008 (?), raved about it, calling it "pretty nearly sublime". Then I tried it a few years later and it had slipped badly. I think it was an old lot and had gone washed-out. Well, it's back--if not to 100% of its former glory, at least to 90%. This tea is the essence of a soft, clear summer night.
