Chinese Tea
Legend has it that tea was first discovered by the Chinese Emperor Shen Nong in 2737 BCE, when a leaf from a nearby Camellia sinensis plant fell into a pot of water the emperor was boiling. Traditional Chinese tea has been an important part of China's culture and history ever since, and Chinese loose leaf tea can be classified into five major categories: white, green, oolong, black and post-fermented China tea.

Notes of cocoa, Burgundy, dried stone fruit, malt and warming spice weave together in a rich mosaic of vibrant flavor. A dark sugar sweetness blooms and lingers in the smooth finish.

Tong Mu Bohea Chi Gan
We are excited to offer this outstanding black tea selection as most teas of this superior quality do not leave China. Less than 9 kilograms was produced in Tong Mu, located high in the Wuyi Mountains (formerly Bohea Hills) of northern Fujian province. The large wiry, ebony-brown leaves yield a dark ruby-amber liquor with an inviting caramel aroma hinting of marzipan. The exquisitely smooth cup fills your mouth with a rich depth of flavor – toasted almond notes, hints of warming spices and honeyed apricot, a whisper of earthy smokiness – all embraced by a sweet syrupy quality. The finish lingers with a whisper of spice. This stellar selection is truly a joy to savor.

Hong Cha Mao Feng
A light sprinkling of golden tips adorns the glossy dark brown leaves in this stunning Mao Feng selection. The copper ruby cup exhibits a complex aroma and flavor with rich notes of earth, wine and smoke. A hint of spice in the finish complements the silky sweet character.

China Pu-Erh Sheng Cha Dragon Pearl
Sheng Pu-Erh tea leaves are carefully rolled by hand into medium pearl shapes, which produce a silky smooth cup with a complex aroma and flavor. Hints of fruit and spice enhance the light earthy aroma. Pronounced notes of fresh apricot are complemented by layers of honey, earth and flowers in the pale golden liquor. The crisp, refreshing finish lingers on the palate. An outstanding selection. Each 1.25" pearl will yield approximately 3-4 cups of tea.

Yunnan Golden Tips Supreme
Elegant, downy gold tips are showcased in this superb black tea offering from Yunnan province. A sweet cocoa aroma pairs well with toasty/biscuity notes in the thick, rich cup. A silky smooth mouth feel envelops hints of cocoa that linger long into the finish.
