While not as well-known in the global tea trade as nations like India and China, a handful of African countries are responsible for producing some of the world's finest tea. African black tea is brisk and robust, often similar in body to Assams. Kenya is the largest African tea producer, while Malawi has the oldest tea plantations across Africa, dating back more than 100 years. South African Rooibos (red bush) is a naturally caffeine-free tisane grown in a small area in the Cederberg region of the Western Cape province. Also grown in the same area of South Africa, Honeybush, like its cousin Rooibos, is a caffeine-free tisane. Both of these South African herbals produce a delightful, refreshing cup. Our loose leaf African teas are available in organic and conventional varieties.
