As the weather grows colder and the days grow shorter, Autumn is the perfect time of year to enjoy the warmth and comfort of tea. What could be more festive this season than Pumpkin Spice? Make your very own tea latte at home by following these simple steps with our new Pumpkin Spice Chai. Enjoyed sweet or unsweetened, this festive beverage unites the familiar combination of pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg and more in a warm seasonal mélange. Sip while curled up by the fire with a good book.
INGREDIENTS:- 2-3 teaspoons NT35: Pumpkin Spice Chai
- 1 Cup Water
- ¼ Cup Milk
- Sweetener (optional, to taste- we recommend brown sugar for this recipe!)
- Milk Frother, Frothing Wand or Mason Jar
- 10-12oz large mug or heat resistant glass cup and tea infuser of your choice
- Boil the water and pour it over the leaves in your favorite tea infuser. You may make the tea directly in the mug or glass cup. Steep for 5 minutes.
- While the tea is steeping, froth the milk. Frothed milk is what makes a latte a latte. This can be accomplished with a milk frother if you have one, an inexpensive frothing wand from your local department store, or even a mason jar from your own kitchen. If you use a milk frother the milk will be heated for you. Otherwise, heat the milk for about 30 seconds in the microwave until it is warm then use the frothing wand or shake vigorously in a mason jar until a thick foam is formed.
- Optional: Season the tea to your liking with sugar, brown sugar, honey, maple syrup or the sweetener of your choice.
- Slowly pour the milk foam on top, and your beverage is ready.
Happy Tea Drinking!
