The Republic of Mozambique is located on the southern coast of Africa. A land of untouched beauty with an economy based largely on agriculture, its fertile soil and temperate climate make it ideal for organic tea cultivation. At an elevation of approximately 4,000 feet, the lower slopes of Mount Namuli are home to the many tea plantations. The tea is plucked by hand and processed, both CTC and orthodox, at three factories with world-class equipment. Sustainable agricultural practices include bio composting and fuel from renewable eucalyptus forests and hydroelectric plants. Tea cultivation in Mozambique provides a livelihood to over 5,000 of the local populace. These premium teas are produced by a community working for a better world, one cup at a time.
