"I'm a huge gunpowder green tea lover, and this is by far my favorite. It has a strong, full flavor, slightly smokey. At 180, I steep way beyond 3 minutes, and it only tastes fuller and fuller, never bitter! (Higher temp will make it bitter). It's also stimulating, so not good to drink before bed."

"This is a smooth oolong, nice color, low bitterness, full leaves dried individual. Right in the middle of the oolong road -- not too green and not too black."

"This tea has excellent flavor, slightly sweet with just the right amount of astringency. It brews easily and with proper water temp, will not turn bitter. Finally, it's incredibly economical. I use a slightly rounded 1/2 teaspoon w/12 oz water @165 degrees for 5 - 7 minutes. At first, this won't look nearly enough to do the job. But once the leaves unfurl, it's actually an ample amount of tea."

"This gunpowder was a nice surprise. It has a very clean taste and crisp finish when iced. More grassy notes than expected but they meld into the finish quite nicely. This is another tea where one should adjust the quantity (I use slightly less than recommended and like the finish better). A very solid, inexpensive, every day green... it won't knock your socks off but delivers a very nice cup!"
