Description: This top quality Sencha is produced in Kagoshima prefecture, located in the southern part of Kyushu (Most southwesterly of the four main islands of Japan). The tea is processed in the traditional style, whereby the leaves are shaded for the last 2-3 weeks before harvest. The result is a flavorful, brothy cup, with a sweet character and full, clean aftertaste. Many have noted that this style of tea shares some qualities with Gyokuro.
