Description: Widely consumed in India and used as a popular base tea for masala chai, this tea also works remarkably well as a self drinker. With a bold flavor, rich color and full body, this tea is smooth enough to enjoy plain, but can accommodate milk readily.

"Rated appearance lower, flavor higher. I plan to re-order this tea. CTC leaves have a very poor appearance, though these are in larger pieces than CTC teas normally are. The tea has a strong maltiness, and takes milk well." Siddharth Pathi

"Great for an everyday tea. We love to make masala chai with this tea (we add freshly pounded cardamom and Indian cinammon). Also a good choice for Thai tea (with orange blossom water, star anise, and condensed milk)." JAC

"Extremely disappointing! This tea has almost no aroma and no malty taste. I tried both 3 min. and 5 min and varied the amount of tea brewed. What taste it does have is in the bitter, burned aftertaste. Its character is like an old tea past its prime. I will try the other organics and hope for more favorable results!"
