Description: This elegant tea has a leaf style and appearance, which can only come from expert handcrafting. The flavor is delicate and complex, with hints of honeydew and winter melon, as well as flowery notes in both the cup and aroma. This selection is a true testament to the art of fine tea making, and testimony to the renowned Castleton appellation. (Better order some soon if you are interested. "i found the staff review of this tea to be accurate... the tea leaf is elegant and the flavor is more apricot and melon. it definitely tastes more like a first flush. it's a beautiful tea, but not my favorite! i prefer 2nd flush darjeelings with predominate muscat flavor, but as something special and different, this was very nice."

"For what this tea costs, it should have had a better flavor. Not the usual Castleton 2nd flush I'm used to. Expected to be wowed but was disappointed because the flavor was not as good as what I've experienced in the past."
"This isn't a typical second flush Darjeeling tea as it is a special, super bold leaf production. I used 3 times as much tea leaves as I normally do (3t instead of 1t) and steeped for 3 minutes in boiling point (212F) water. The fragrant aroma is of fresh apricots. The flavor is smooth and delicate with notes of apricot, melon and a gentle, lingering floral nuance. Steeping it longer might strengthen the flavor notes, however, it will still taste more like a first flush than a second flush tea."
