Other popular types of Japanese tea are created by adding toasted rice, fruit scenting, or by roasting the tea leaves. Additional flavors or firing impart interesting nuances to a standard grade of Japanese green tea. As with all greens, less than boiling water should be used.

 1. TJ32: Japanese Ku-Ki Ho-Ji Cha (Roasted Ku-Ki Cha)

 2. TJ40: Japanese Ho-ji Cha

Bancha green tea is roasted evenly until it is brown, imparting a unique flavor. The liquor is golden brown; the taste is mellow.
