An abundance of golden tips contrasts with the dark brown leaves in this 2016 broken-leaf Assam from the Satispur Estate. The dark amber infusion has a bright aroma with hints of light malt and honey. A pleasant pungency in the cup is nicely balanced with notes of malt and bittersweet cocoa. The smooth, lingering finish has a light suggestion of brown sugar. May be enjoyed plain or with a splash of milk.
